[ Okay so... they traveled through space to get here, it's not impossible that they also traveled through time. ]

We were plucking the stones from different points in time. Maybe the same thing happened to us?

Tony and I had just secured the tesseract and were headed back to 2023. We had to detour to 1970 to get it because it vanished along with Loki the first time around.

[ The last tidbit he mentions so they're all aware that the Loki in this world may be from their original timeline or the one that branched out from their botched first attempt. ]

Also, travelling through time in general? Bad idea. Terrible idea. So obviously it's going to happen.

The last thing I remember is having breakfast with Pepper. I hadn't seen either of you in weeks. Months. The whole "retired" part of "semi-officially retired".
