Tony and I had just secured the tesseract and were headed back to 2023. We had to detour to 1970 to get it because it vanished along with Loki the first time around.

[ The last tidbit he mentions so they're all aware that the Loki in this world may be from their original timeline or the one that branched out from their botched first attempt. ]

Well, I definitely don't remember to agreeing to a "time heist". Who came up with that name anyway?

Also, travelling through time in general? Bad idea. Terrible idea. So obviously it's going to happen.

The last thing I remember is having breakfast with Pepper. I hadn't seen either of you in weeks. Months. The whole "retired" part of "semi-officially retired".
